Arts & Culture Funding is at Risk

We need your help keeping it in the Michigan State Budget.

Tuesday, September 9th: After-Hours Voicemail Campaign

Let’s make sure lawmakers hear us—even after hours. We're flooding voicemail boxes with messages of support for the Michigan Arts and Culture Council (MACC).

What to do:
Call your legislator after 5 PM and leave a message urging them to protect MACC funding.

Tuesday, September 16th: FUND MI Arts & Culture Day

Rally with us in Lansing as we stand up for Michigan’s creative future! Join artists, educators, and advocates from across the state for a day of action, storytelling, and unity at the Capitol.

Location: 208 N Capitol Ave, Lansing, MI
Time: 9 AM – 3 PM
Cost: Free and open to the public

Wednesday, September 24th: Flood the Feed

Take action from wherever you are!

Jumping on social media and share how Michigan Arts and Culture Council (MACC) grants have impacted your organization or community. Whether it’s funding for programs, preservation, education, or outreach—your story matters.

  • Post a photo or video
  • Share a quick story
  • Tag your state legislators and use the hashtags: #MIArts&Culture #FUNDMACC

Monday, September 29th: Email Campaign

Let’s finish the budget cycle strong! As final negotiations take place, now is the time to send one more powerful message to your legislators: arts and culture matter—and must be funded.

Take a moment to email your state representatives and senators with a personal story or quick note about why MACC funding is vital to your work and your community.
