At the heart of CAN’s mission – to support and unite statewide cultural interests through advocacy and education -- is an opportunity for you to become more engaged in our work. We hope you will consider joining our collective group of supporters, artists, educators, preservationists, history buffs, librarians, humanities scholars, festivals and arts and cultural organizations. When you join the Cultural Advocacy Network of Michigan, you become an advocate of the creative, historical, artistic and educational opportunities that take place in all 83 Michigan counties. Ability to serve, if duly elected, on the CAN Board of Directors
Membership StructureStatewide Membership Each organization (levels 1-3) is required to have a main contact person (administrator) and may affiliate up to 10 board members and staff with the membership, allowing for sharing of Cultural Advocacy Network benefits. Statewide membership dues are graduated based on each applicant organization's operating budget. Regional Partner Membership Each organization is required to have a main contact person (administrator) and may affiliate up to 5 board members and staff with the membership, allowing for sharing of CAN benefits Ambassador Membership Each Ambassador Member is eligible for discounted rates on events and trainings. Individuals are not eligible for Organization Member benefits. |
